An event every week that begins at 4:00pm on Tuesday, repeating until December 14, 2018
An 8 week Barista program to give young
people practical skills, employable soft skills,
industry ‘tasters’ and an opportunity to gain
confidence and sense of achievement.
Practical Skills: (Level 1)
- Various theory and practical techniques
- Components of the Espresso machine
- Coffee Extraction
- How to froth and stretch milk
- Temperature control
- Various Espresso Coffees
Advanced (Level 2)
- Latte Art
- Specialty coffees
- Food safety control
- Café service
- Employability skills
- Industry work experience when possible
Soft Skills:
- Team work
- Reliability
- Commitment
- Time management
Starting: Tuesday 13th February 2018
Day: Tuesdays (excluding school holidays)
Ages: 13 – 24 years old
Time: 4 – 6pm
Cost: $45 per term
