Ever thought of being on stage reciting a piece of Shakespearean text or writing your own script?
Or maybe you want to increase your confidence or be able to stand and speak in front of an audience?
The Rotorua Youth Centre is offering Acting Classes for Youth
Starting: Monday 12th of February, 2018
Ages: 12 -18 years old
Days: Monday and Wednesdays (excluding school holidays)
Time: 4 – 6pm
Cost: $20 per Term
Tutor: Semu Filipo
From Improvisation techniques to Script Writing, Shakespeare to Theatre-Sports: Acting Classes at the Rotorua Youth Centre, can cater for your needs, from pursuing a career in Acting, to needing extra help with your Drama Classes at school.
‘Acting classes allow Youth to discover and explore Theatre through creative and active participation which will enable Youth to voice their opinions and bravely express their emotions within a theatrically safe and non-judgemental environment’.
Born and breed in Rotorua and raised in the streets of Ford-block, Semu Filipo has returned home with 15 years of New Zealand Theatre, Film and Television experience and 6 years of secondary teaching experience. From ‘Shortland Street’ to ‘Show of Hands”, “Don’t bring your mates’ drinking Ad to Pop-Up Globe Shakespeare, Semu is passionate about the Art and wants to instill the knowledge he has gained in travels to the Youth of Rotorua.
